From Ontario with Live Love SUP: Meet the Mover and Shaker at Sauble Beach

Jamie Taylor is all over stand up paddling. From the moment she took her first strokes, she was hooked. She's been hooking others too for quite some time. Whilst SUP is the passion of us all, Jamie and her enthusiasm for stand up paddling is at the center of Sauble Beach as she develops a thriving SUP scene in Ontario, Canada. Nationally, she is working hard to grow our sport across Canada to with Stand Up Canada Distribution.

The winter's may be long with nostalgic thoughts for SUPing under a warm sun but, from all reports, the summer is intense with everyone paddling to make up for lost time. Ladies and Gentlemen, we are stoked to announce Jamie Taylor as anther Live Love SUP Brand Ambassador. As you'll read below, she's really the driving force in all things SUP in her local expanding SUP community.

Location
Sauble Beach, Ontatio, Canada

Favorite place to paddle
Pretty much anywhere there is water, I love finding new spots to paddle! However, I do love to paddle on the two lakes I live near, Gould Lake and Lake Huron. I think it is so awesome that you can be out paddling and run into friends also out enjoying this wonderful sport.

What attracted you to SUP
What first attracted me to SUP is the fact that it can be done on flat water, which means I could do it in my backyard. I then discovered the serenity of SUP, the fitness benefits and just the mere fact that I got so much joy out of it. I immediately wanted to share this experience with others in my community.

Describe your first SUP experience
I first saw SUP on a vacation to California, I instantly knew I would love the sport. When I got home, I immediately purchased my own board and I was hooked. Paddling quickly became my passion, my go to way to keep fit and escape from every day life. I soon feel in love with not only SUP, but the SUP lifestyle. Since that summer I have never looked back.

Why do you keep paddling
I keep paddling because SUP is my passion and I have been lucky enough to turn my passion into my career. Paddling keeps me healthy and happy, it's as simple as that.

Where do you dream of paddling?
I am fortunate enough to have fulfilled my paddling dream last year on a visit to Laguna Beach, California when I got to paddle with Dolphins! I also hope to one day paddle the canals in Venice, Italy.

How are you involved with your local SUP community?
I own and operate the only SUP specific shop in our community and I educate myself and our staff on everything SUP. This allows us to provide knowledge and expertise to our customers. We support and sponsor local SUP events both in Sauble Beach and all of Ontario. We donate a number of SUP lessons to local charities and fundraisers, and we arrange bi-weekly SUP social paddles and free demos to promote the sport and build relationships within our community. All in all, I try to reflect my love and passion for paddling onto others and my community.

Why are you excited about Live Love SUP?
I believe my values and beliefs are similar to Live Love SUP, and that's what I love about the brand. Together we can grow and share our passion for SUP while giving back to our communities. I love everything about Live Love USP, I love the name, the brand and the fact that they give back to various charities to make a difference all while doing something we love!

Jamie is a big part of the growing SUP communities in Sauble Beach and greater Canada and she is also a part of our expanding group of Live Love SUP Brand Ambassadors. We are stoked to welcome Jamie and her enthusiasm to the team. We are keen to get her involved in many of our adventures!
